DKIM
DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) ensures that the content of your emails remains trusted and hasn’t been tampered with or compromised. It was initially proposed in 2007 and has been updated several times, most recently with the IETF standard 8301 this last January. Both SPF and DKIM were updated with the IETF standard 7372 in 2014.
DMARC
Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) ties the DKIM and Sender Policy Framework (SPF) protocols together with a consistent set of policies. It also links the sender’s domain name with what is listed in the From: header and also has some better reporting back from mail recipients.
Implement DKIM or DMARC
To implement the necessary changes, your IT team needs to work with our hosting team and SMTP.
📌 Note: SMTP is based in Canada and so the communications between our team and theirs are likely to be delayed due to the time differentiation between territories.
To enable DKIM signing, you already need to be set up and use SMTP with Access Group.
If you'd like to request this functionality, raise a new case online and reference the title of this article including the following details:
Domain name for DKIM/DMARC to be applied to. This is the sender domain, not the recipient domain.
Do you require a DKIM/DMARC selector? If so, specify what the selector should be called.
