You can expire a post when it is no longer in use. Expiring a post prevents it from being selected on new records while keeping its history intact.
Expire a post
To set an expiry date for a post, follow the steps below.
Click Organisation, click Organisation, then click Post Management.
Search for and open the post you want to expire.
Enter a date in the Expiry Date field, then click Save.
Active post warning
You may be presented with the message below:
WARNING! There are 3 active members of this post on this date.
You should reassign them to new posts before you expire the post.
If you receive this message, you will need to click Current Occupants to see who is active in this post.
You will not be able to set an expiry date on the post until you have moved the employees into a new post via the career history process.
