Remove an employee from a course or event waiting list

Remove an employee from the waiting list of a training course or event.

The waiting list is maintained at course level and contains employees who are waiting to attend a course but have not yet been booked onto a specific event. The same Waiting tab is available from both Course Management and Event Management.

Before removing an employee from the waiting list, consider why they need to come off the list:

  • If the employee is now ready to attend the training, use the Book on Event wizard to book them onto a scheduled event. This automatically removes them from the waiting list.

  • If the employee no longer requires the training, delete them from the waiting list.


Option 1: Book the Employee onto an Event

Use this option when the employee should attend the course and a suitable event is available.

  1. Click Training & Development, then click Courses

  2. Click Course Management, then open the course.

  3. Select the Waiting tab.

  4. Highlight the employee you want to book.

  5. Select Book on Event.

  6. Complete the Book on Event wizard.

The employee is automatically removed from the waiting list and added to the selected event's Bookings tab.


Option 2: Delete the Employee from the Waiting List

Use this option when the employee no longer requires the training and should be removed from the waiting list.

  1. Click Training & Development, then click Courses

  2. Click Course Management, then open the course.

  3. Select the Waiting tab.

  4. Highlight the employee(s) you want to remove.

  5. Select Delete.

📌 Note: The delete button is only available when accessing the waiting list through Course Management. This option is not available from the Event Management view.
