Working periods configuration

Configure the working times on a working schedule.

Once you set up a working schedule, it's time to define the exact working and non-working times, or when your employee is taking a lunch break.

To split your working days into two periods, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Employees, click Lookups, then click Pattern.

  2. Click Working Schedules.

  3. Click a relevant working schedule.

  4. Click Periods, then click New.

  5. Enter the following details:

  • Period Description: Name this period so it's easy to identify when selecting it on a working schedule. for example, when splitting into two periods, the first one could be AM and the second PM.

  • Start Time.

  • End Time.

  • Days: Ensure that the days of all periods combined add up to one. This value is used in holiday absence days amount. For example, if an employee has the chance to book of a morning or an afternoon, each period should be set to 0.5 days.


Examples

Plan

Periods

Working from 10:00AM to 13:00PM with no break.

Create one period:

  • Start Time: 10:00AM.

  • End Time:13:00PM.

  • Days: 1.

Working from 10:00AM to 19:00PM with a 1.5 hour break at 12:30PM.

Create two periods:

  • Period 1:

    • Start Time: 10:00AM.

    • End Time: 12:30PM.

    • Days: 0.5

  • Period 2

    • Start Time: 14:00AM.

    • End Time: 19:00PM.

    • Days: 0.5
