Pay Modelling gives the ability to apply pay increases to employees, either by group or individually selected.

The system can apply the uplifts with or without manager authorisation.

To apply a one off bonus payment with a fixed amount to employee via the Pay Modelling process, follow these steps.

  1. In the Organisation zone, click Organisation, then Pay Modelling.

  2. Click New Model then enter the name of the model.

  3. Select % or Fixed Payment (e.g. Bonus) from the list.

  4. Select the Change Reason from the drop down list.

  5. In the Pay Element Type, select the Pay Element assigned to your employee for their Salary. In most instances, this will be the Pay Element Type Basic.

  6. Under the Derived Payment Details section, in the Create Pay Element Type drop down select Bonus.

  7. Tick the One Off Payment checkbox.

  8. Click Save & Continue.

  9. Enter the Date of Payment for the one off payment.

  10. From the Increase Type field, select Fixed Amount.

  11. Enter the Fixed Amount (e.g. Β£200).

    • Note: If you wish to apply the employees FTE to this payment, ensure the Apply FTE checkbox is ticked. This will Pro Rata the payment down based on their FTE, where employees with an FTE of 1 will receive the full value of the payment.

  12. Click Save & Continue.

  13. Select the relevant employees from the list, and click Continue.

  14. Select the Rounding Type and click Continue.

  15. Click Complete and Back to Pay Modelling.

  16. Click on Proposed Payments.

  17. Highlight the employees you are happy with the proposals for, and click Approve. The system will now process the approval, which can take some time depending on the number of records.

  18. Once approved, click Apply Model.

  19. Fill in the approval details on the Form, and click Accept.

The pay record will now be generated in the employees other pay tab within career history with the amount and any entered notes. This can also be seen in the Pay Modelling record on the Applied Payments tab.
