Workflow status explained

What each workflow value means.

Workflow values are used to identify the current status of a record.

Workflow statuses are not enabled against every record of the system, and you will see them most frequently against absence, appointment, or career records.

The system assigns a workflow status against a record so that it knows how to treat it.

For example, different workflow statuses on absence records tell the system how to treat it (e.g., Is the absence authorised? Is it deleted? Should it count towards the bradford factor/holiday statistics?).
