Add existing workflow to a menu set

Add a workflow to a menu set.

There are three main steps in this process that need to be taken to follow the best practice to preserve the original state of the menu set:

  1. Create a copy of the menu Set.

  2. Add the existing workflow to the copy created for the menu set.

  3. Assign the copied menu set to the users meant to use this menu Set.

Create a copy of the menu set

The steps below can only be followed by a user with Administrator access to the Admin Tool.

  1. Log in to the Admin Tool and navigate to Menus.

  2. Highlight the required menu set and click Create a copy of the selected menu set on the right-hand side.

  3. Click Edit the selected menu set or double-click on it.

  4. Click Enabled to toggle from No to Yes.

  5. Click OK to save the copy.


Add the existing workflow to the copy created for the menu set

The steps below can only be followed by a user with Administrator access to the SelectHR Admin Tool.

  1. Log in to the SelectHR Admin Tool and in the Menus & Processes section, click Menus.

  2. Double-click the menu set and click the padlock icon.

  3. Click Employees and in the Menu items area, click Add item and select Existing Workflow. Choose the workflow you want.

  4. Click Apply and then click OK.

  5. Refresh the SelectHR web page for the new workflow to appear.


Assign the copied menu set to the users

The steps below can only be followed by a user with Administrator access to the SelectHR Admin Tool.

  1. Within the Admin Tool, navigate to the Security section and click User Accounts.

  2. Click the User Filter drop-down and select All Users. The Retrieve All Users window appears. Click Yes.

  3. Double-click the user to open the User Properties window.

  4. Click the Menu Sets tab to expand it and tick the boxes for the Menu Set to be added to the user. The Object Selector window appears.

  5. Select a Role to be applied to the copied Menu Set and click OK.

  6. On the website, for a user with this menu set, refresh the page and navigate to the corresponding location to see if the button enabling/disabling took effect.
