When an address is updated and the system detects that a change of address letter has not yet been sent, the batch job RTI - Email HMRC Notification Letter (Address Change) automatically runs to send the notification.

To inspect this batch job, follow these steps.

  1. In the Admin Tool, click Batch Jobs.

  2. Double-click RTI - Email HMRC Notification Letter (Address Change).

There are also two other batch jobs that send notifications to the HMRC. They are called:

  • RTI - Email HMRC Notification Letter (Name Change)
Only sent for changes to names

  • RTI - Email HMRC Notification Letter (New Employee)
    Only sent for new employees

Audit changes to an address

To see who changed the address and when, you can run an audit against the address record.
