You may wish to review an overview of creating and personalising holiday rules, as well as where to find the public holiday compensation options, before proceeding.
With respect to how you want part-timers to be calculated and for them to book their own public holidays, you can use the following options once a holiday rule has been created or selected.
Under the Details section of the selected holiday rule, in the Entitlement (Days) box, enter the required value.
Next to the option Round Entitlements To Nearest box enter the required rounding value and the appropriate Rounding Option (Suggest to start with 'Nearest' from the dropdown).
Select the Save button.
Select the Public Holidays tab.
Select from the Holiday Compensation lookup the option Adjust for Public Holidays (statutory calculation).
Untick the option Allow Negative PH Adjustments.
Rounding can be adjusted as per requirement and as in Step 2.
Select the Save button.
The working pattern used for part timers would need the option Use Public Holidays unticked to allow employee to be able to book public holiday dates.
