Working patterns in SelectHR determine an employee's schedule and are influenced by the start date, working days, and assigned schedules. This guide explains how to check and resolve issues with the working pattern calendar, ensuring it reflects the correct work/non-work days for employees.

πŸ“Œ Note: The working pattern start date is the first date at which this pattern will become valid and can therefore be applied to an employee.

If you want to use the same working pattern for a number of employees, for example, 4 days on and 4 days off, but have the start date begin on a different day, then you will need to create two separate working patterns. They will both have the same pattern start day, but will have a different arrangement of work/non-work days.

Check Working Pattern Calendar

Follow the steps below to check the working patterns calendar to see the effects of the pattern in the future.

  1. In the Employees zone, click Lookups, then click Pattern.

  2. Click Working Pattern Calendar.

  3. Select the Year Tab to see a more complete view.

  4. Use the arrow to navigate to the appropriate year.

If there appears to be an issue with the working pattern calendar the following should be checked.

  • The working pattern start date starts on a Sunday and before the start date of any employee it is assigned to.

  • The first working days week is set as 1. Any additional week after is increased in numerical sequence.

  • The working schedules assigned to the working days have at least one period created in each.
