Working pattern types are used against working patterns to generate an accurate FTE.

  1. In the Employee zone, click Lookups, then click Pattern.

  2. Click Working Pattern Types.

  3. Click New.

  4. Enter the following details:

  • Pattern Type: A relevant name.

  • Notional Full-Time Hours Per Day: This is the average full-time hours per day. This should be the full-time hours per week divided by the number of days worked.

  • Full Time Hours: These are the notional full-time hours multiplied by the days worked per week, then multiplied by 52.

  • Full Time Hours Per Week: This is the number of hours per week worked by a full time employee.

Below are some example full-time hour working pattern types:

Notional Full Time Hours Per Week

Full Time Hours

32.5

1690

35

1820

37.5

1950

40

2080

πŸ€“ Tip: If an individual works two and a half days per week adding up to 18.75 hours and requires an FTE of 0.5, assign a 1950 hours pattern type so that the FTE calculates correctly.
