Self certification notification did not send to an employee

How the self certification batch job works

The Absence Self Certification batch job checks for any absences that are within the number of self certified days allowed for the employee.


You can check an employees self certification days in by following these steps.

  1. In the Absence zone, click Absence, then click Absence History.

  2. Click the Individual Settings tab.

πŸ€“ Tip: The default value for Self Certification is 5 days.

The batch job is triggered by an Absence End Date falling within a two week window either side side of todays date (1 week before and 1 week after).


Reasons why a notification may not be sent

  • The sickness absence record has no end date i.e. it is an open ended absence.

  • The end date was entered at least one week late.

  • The total absence days are more than the self cert days, i.e. if the total days are more than five, then no self certification notification is triggered.
