Amend a mail merge template

Make changes to a mail merge template.

Make updates to the content of an existing mail merge template directly from the Admin Tool. This allows you to adjust the wording, layout, or merge fields without needing to recreate the template.

To amend the body of an existing mail merge template, follow the steps below.

  1. In the Admin Tool, click Mail Merges.

  2. Find and double-click the mail merge that needs amending.

  3. Click the Template and Merge Data tab, then click View/Edit Template.

  4. Make the appropriate amendments.

  5. To save the amendments, in the top right, click Close (X).

    ⚠️ Warning: The document saves on closure; therefore, the Save button on the Word document should not be used.

  6. On the Mail Merge Properties window, click OK to finalise the changes.
