Check if the notification and payroll services are running

Check that the service administrator is turned on and functioning.

If hosted with Access, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article, detailing what you would like to know such as:

  • Mail Configuration settings.

  • Whether the notification and payroll services are running.

If on premise, you will need your IT Team to follow these steps.

  1. On the installation server, find and select the SelectHR Service Administrator and right-click to select Run as administrator.

  2. Check that the notification service and/or payroll service is turned on (indicated by a green light). If a red light is displayed, restart the service by clicking Start.

  3. Ensure that the option Start automatically when Windows starts is ticked.
