Overview
The FE Workforce process has been added to the HR (v2.0) menu for customers licensed with the Schools or Colleges module. This is located within the Employee zone.
When opening the process, a listing of all relevant SelectHR fields used for the ESFA return is displayed.
The listing is read-only.
Any required updates must be made in the appropriate section of SelectHR.
To export data:
Click Export Collection.
An Excel file will be generated, formatted to match the ESFA template.
Some data not stored in SelectHR due to date format limitations must be manually entered either into the Excel file or later on the ESFA desktop submission application.
Limitations
Date formatting
The government desktop application has specific formatting requirements for date fields. If these are not met, an error icon may appear when pasting data.
To correct this:
Export the Excel file.
Right-click the column header containing the dates.
Select Format Cells.
Choose the format mm/dd/yyyy (e.g. 03/14/2012).
Click OK and confirm the dates display correctly.
Lookup values
Some fields require values matching ESFA documentation. While most fields use SelectHR lookups, values may not align exactly.
Mismatched values may not paste correctly into the ESFA app.
These values must be corrected in SelectHR prior to export, directly in Excel, or within the ESFA desktop app.
The exception is Current Position Duration, which is calculated automatically.

Main Contract: SelectHR does not determine the βmain appointment.β Where multiple appointments exist during the census period, that field will be left blank.
Excluding data: There is no way to exclude contracts or careers from the return via the export tool. Any required data filtering must be done manually in Excel or the ESFA application.
