If you aren't sure whether a batch job is operating correctly, you can perform a check in the Admin Tool to see if any workflows/messages have been generated.
This will confirm if the batch job is working as expected.
Checking to see if a batch job has run
You will need to know the name of the batch job to follow these steps.
In the Admin Tool, click Batch Jobs.
Scroll down the list of batch jobs to find the batch job you wish to query.
Single click on the Batch Job and then click View the log file for the selected batch job
π€ Tip: If the batch job runs a workflow rather than just sending out an email, then the initial list will appear blank. You will need to click on View Workflow Log if this is the case.
Set the date range back until you get some results in the listing.
If there are no workflows or messages in the list, even going back by 8 weeks, then this may indicate that either:
The batch job has no genuine action to perform.
The batch job is not working correctly.
Your notification service is turned off or blocked.
If you have reviewed the message log and workflow log of a batch job and there are no results where you believe there should be, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
