Snapshot is a view in SQL that collects up-to-date statistics from across the system, ensuring accurate data is available for everyday functions like viewing employee records.

The snapshot view is updated automatically and is maintained by the snapshot batch job, which runs every night.

This batch job is responsible for turning future starters into current employees.

Execute snapshot manually

To execute the snapshot batch job manually, follow these steps.

  1. In the Admin Tool, click Batch Jobs.

  2. Double-click the batch job: SYSTEM - Update Employee Snapshot.

  3. Double-click the workflow.

  4. Set the Next Run Date to any time in the past and click OK.

  5. Click OK again.

  6. Click Execute the selected batch job.
