Only the absence type of sickness can be used to create absences as open-ended.
You will receive an error message if you try to enter an open ended holiday record.
The absence type Sickness is part of an absence type group also called Sickness, which is configured within the absence type lookup record.
To enter an open-ended sickness, follow these steps.
Under Absence, click Absence History.
Select the required employee absence to create a Sickness Absence Record and click Enter Absence.
Select Sickness from the Absence Type list and click Continue.
Enter or select the Start Date of the absence.
For the End Date, clear the date if it is open-ended.
Select the appropriate Reason from the dropdown box and enter any other relevant information.
Click Save & Continue.
