The first step picks up from the stage directly after the creation of a data export.
Save export on a local PC
Once a suitable name for the export has been decided, press Browse next to Export to file location.
Click on This PC.
Here, something such as "C on Machine-Name" should appear.
Double click the above.
Double click Users.
Double click into the appropriate user folder.
From here, either double-click into the desktop or navigate to another folder.
Click Save.
π Note: To save on a network location instead of an individuals local PC, the same steps above need to be carried out but instead of going into the C drive, an alternative location needs to be selected.
Cannot see my local or network drive in the list
As of April 2026, Microsoft introduced new security controls for RDP files and sessions, meaning all local resource redirection, including drives, is now disabled by default. Users must explicitly allow each resource, such as drives or clipboard access, for every connection, and new warning dialogs are shown before connecting. These changes were implemented to reduce the risk of phishing attacks and data exfiltration.
It may also be possible that you do not have the drive in question mapped to the hosted environment.

This can be mapped for you, but would need to be handled via our consultancy team, which would incur a cost. If you are interested in this service, please contact your account manager, who can facilitate this for you.
If you experience this issue, please contact your IT first, then raise with support if further assistance is required.
Why am I receiving an Access Denied Message when trying to save to our Internal Network?
You may not have permission within your network internally to access the drive you are trying to save to. Please contact your IT Team and ask them to check that you have the relevant permissions to access and save to the required network drive.
