As of April 2026, Microsoft introduced new security controls for RDP files and sessions, meaning all local resource redirection, including drives, is now disabled by default. Users must explicitly allow each resource, such as drives or clipboard access, for every connection, and new warning dialogs are shown before connecting. These changes were implemented to reduce the risk of phishing attacks and data exfiltration.
To allow the remote computer to access specific resources, you need to tick the options on the first remote connection screen when you click the Admin Tool icon on the gateway.
