Employees will receive a workflow task reminder email if they have started a workflow but have not yet completed it. Reminders will be sent for all running workflows.
The email will begin with the following: This is an automated reminder that a workflow task is overdue.
For example, if an employee has requested an absence via the request workflow but has not completed it, they may receive this email.

They will also receive a reminder if the task is waiting on their manager to authorise. No action is required from the requester.
