This guide provides a step-by-step process to create probation periods for employees in the system.

To create a probation period for an employee, follow these steps.
In the Employees zone, click Employees, then Career History.
Open the employee record.
Click on the Probation periods tab.
Click New.
π€ Tip: The Probation from and the Probation to dates will be populated based on the notice rule.
Enter the probation period eg. 3 months.
Choose the reviewer and enter any notes, and confirm if mid reviews are required.
The Batch job Probation Reviews Notification (2.3) will trigger, inviting the reviewer to complete the review and record the outcome.
The workflow Employee-Probation Reviews (2.3) will record the outcomes and behave differently for the 3 outcomes (passed, failed, extended) you will need to explore this workflow to fully understand the various outcomes.
Amend a probation reviewer
To amend a probation reviewer, follow these steps.
Navigate to the Employee zone, then click Career History.
Select the employee.
Click Probation periods tab.
Open the probation record.
Click the π next to the selected reviewer.
Choose the new reviewer.
Click Save.
