If a user is unable to enter an absence on a public holiday, please check the below.
Note down the Working Pattern that the employee is on. This can be found on the latest career record within career history.
In the Employees zone, click Lookups.
Click Patterns, then Working Patterns.
Drill into the working pattern.
On the Non Work & SSP tab, if Use Public Holidays is ticked, it means that employees on this pattern DO NOT work bank holidays. This will mean employees will not be able to enter absences on these days.
Allow sickness to be entered on a public holiday
To allow sicknesses to be entered on public holiday dates, follow these steps.
In the Configuration zone, click Configuration, then HR Configuration.
Tick the Absence Allow Non Working Days check box.
