YTD holiday fields do not include holiday additions for next holiday year

Holiday entitlement is incorrect for a future holiday year.

Any YTD (Year to Date) fields show only holiday entitlement that has already been earned up until the current date.

This includes the following values:

  • Basic entitlement for the holiday year.

  • Any holiday additions where the inclusion date of the holiday addition is on or prior to today’s date.

Length of service awards and public holiday adjustments are typically included at the start of the holiday year (e.g., 1st January, 1st April). If the holiday year does not start in January, the inclusion date of these holiday additions will align with the start of the holiday year.

If you view YTD holiday statistics for an upcoming holiday year, the YTD fields show statistics based only on the basic entitlement. This is by design, as YTD fields are only intended to display holiday entitlement that has already been earned. YTD holiday values increase by the amount allocated in the holiday additions once the inclusion date is reached.

For example, if today’s date is 01/01/2021, and the inclusion date of a holiday addition (e.g., a length of service award) is the start of the holiday year, and your holiday year begins on 1st April 2021, the YTD values start including those holiday additions on 1st April 2021.

They are not included before that time as they are effectively not live yet.
