You are able to upload documents via both the website and the Admin Tool.
π Note: There is no limit on the size of a file that can be uploaded to SelectHR and no option to limit this through the system. If a message regarding the size of a file is displayed, check with the in-house IT department which might have set up a limit on the size of uploaded documents.
Upload documents via the website
To upload new documents via the website, follow the steps below.
Under Admin, click Document Store.
Select a Category.
Click Upload File. A new window will be displayed.
Click Browse.
Search for the documents to upload.
If required, give the document a title.
If required, add a description in the Title field, or leave blank to use the filename as the title.
Click Upload.
Use File Links
If the document you wish to upload requires a direct link to an employee, follow these steps.
Under Employees, click Employees, then click Details.
Select an employee's record.
On the right-hand side of the page, click File Links. A new page will load named File Link Items.
On the right-hand side of the page, click Upload File.
If you upload via the file links process, the document is linked to the person you have uploaded it for.
When you upload via file links, the file is uploaded to the relevant folder of the document store based on where the file links button appears.
For example, if you upload using file links on the Employee Details form, the document will be uploaded to the Person.Details folder, as this is the Root Table for this form.
Any other area of the system where file links are enabled and share the same Root Table (e.g. Person.Details) will also share the same folder, and as such you will see the files from both areas.
Upload a document via the Admin Tool
In the Admin Tool, click Document Store.
On the left hand side, select the area where the new document needs to be added.
In the right-hand window, right-click and click Add Existing Item.
Search for the document that needs to be uploaded, then click Open.
