Release naming update
We've changed how Evo releases are named. Previously, an Evo release could be referred to by the month the work was carried out (e.g. the “May release”), even though it was actually applied to customer environments the following month (e.g. June). This mismatch between the name and the actual release date caused confusion.
From this release onwards, Evo releases are named using the format 5.26.7.xxxxx, structured as:
● 5 — main version (Evo)
● 26 — year
● 7 — month of release
● xxxxx — minor/build number
The naming now reflects the month the release actually went live, so the release name and release date are always aligned.
🤓 Note: This release (5.26.7.xxxxx) consolidates work originally scheduled across two development cycles, both being applied to customer systems together in July under the new naming convention.
What's new?
This release introduces the first live, feature-flagged elements of Evo Navigator quick actions, delivers the extensible workflow hooks framework, and includes a range of People Analytics data quality fixes, security hardening, and general bug fixes.
Evo Navigator — quick actions & self-service panels
The foundations for Evo Navigator quick actions are now in place. This functionality is currently behind a feature flag — where this applies to your organisation, you'll be contacted separately with details on how to access and turn this on for your organisation.
Absence request — employees will be able to raise absence requests directly from a new quick action panel.
Address management — employees will be able to view and update their address details via a new self-service panel.
Bank details — employees will be able to update their bank details through a dedicated quick action.
Workflow hooks — absence, address, and bank detail changes can now trigger downstream workflow hooks, configurable by administrators.
📌 Note: These quick actions will appear in the Evo Navigator menu once activated. Full user guides will be provided alongside the activation communication.
Extensible workflow hooks framework
The extensible workflow hooks framework is now live, providing a structured way to trigger downstream actions at key points in HR standard workflows.
A hook configuration screen allows administrators to define and manage hook points.
Full command table and invocation audit trail included.
📌 Note: The hook configuration screen will be available to system administrators once activated. This is the foundation for Quick Objects in Evo Navigator, and full instructions will be provided once activated.
Custom field labels
Administrators can now rename HR field labels throughout SelectHR to match their organisation's own terminology.
This process of changing a field name has now been streamlined into an easy process via the Admin Tool.
Eploy Integration
The integration between SelectHR and the Eploy recruitment platform is now live, replacing the previous Access Recruit integration. This streamlines the flow of recruitment and organisational data between the two systems and significantly reduces manual admin for HR and recruitment teams. The integration includes:
Organisation structure sync — SelectHR's organisational hierarchy automatically synchronises to Eploy, including an initial full sync and ongoing real-time updates as structures change.
Automatic user provisioning — employees are automatically created as users in Eploy with the correct organisational placement, and automatically deactivated when marked as a leaver in SelectHR — removing the need for manual account setup and teardown.
Post integration — approved Posts in SelectHR automatically appear as Job Roles in Eploy, so recruitment stays aligned with your approved establishment without duplicate data entry.
Successful applicant onboarding — when a candidate is successfully hired in Eploy, their personal details, job details, location, hiring manager, and organisational structure flow into SelectHR and pre-populate the onboarding wizard automatically.
For customers hiring in volume, this significantly cuts the administrative time spent on employee provisioning and onboarding, as well as reducing the risk of data inconsistency between systems.
📌 Note: Eploy Integration is released under a feature flag. To learn more about this integration or about Eploy, please contact your Account Manager.
Access Data Transfer Service — platform service admin management interface
A new admin management interface has been introduced for the ADTS platform service, created as part of the Eploy Integration work.
🚀 What's coming
Our Full Living Road Map will be released to the Evo environment in the coming weeks.
Work continues in July, ahead of the August release, on two further pieces of the Eploy Integration:
Document transfer — a workflow stage for manual mapping of documents received via the integration.
Post sync enablement/disablement — enhancements giving administrators control over enabling and disabling Post synchronisation.
As adoption of the new Evo Navigator quick actions grows, we'll also continue to expand the range of self-service actions available. Full release notes and user guides will be provided ahead of future releases.
