We are aware of an issue where admins can't enter an absence for a future starter (onboardee) using the Absence - Entry (Single Employee) (v4.0) workflow. This article explains what you may see, why it happens and how to work around it.

When you try to add an absence for a future starter using the Absence - Entry (Single Employee) (v4.0) workflow, the workflow fails and you see this error:

The absence cannot start before the employee's continuous service date. The transaction ended in the trigger. The batch has been aborted.'

Until a fix is released for this issue, contact support via the Digital Assistant who will be able to assist in the implementation of a workaround.
