Parental leave cannot be submitted through the standard absence entry options.
Any absence type that belongs to the Parental absence type group is excluded from both Absence – Entry (Single Employee) (v4.0) and Absence – Group Entry (v4.0) as an option to select.
Parental leave must be recorded through the family leave process to ensure all statutory checks and rules are followed.
For example, if you have created a new absence type with the absence type group set as Parental, you will not have the option to select it in workflows, as it is filtered out via the filter below. Changing the absence type group to Other, will make it visible for selection.
