KIT (Keeping in touch) days are entered and managed within the family leave process.
In order to enter KIT days, the following criteria must be met;
The leave type must be Maternity.
The relationship must be Natural.
Both the employer and employee must consent to KIT days.
If the employer and employee consent tick boxes were not ticked on the initial creation of the record, you will not see the KIT days tab. To correct this, follow the steps below.
In the Absence zone, click Absence, then Family Leave.
Select the employee, then click the family leave record.
Click the Maternity Details tab, then click Amend Ordinary/Additional Leave.
Tick both Employer Consent to Keeping in Touch Days and Employee Consent to Keeping in Touch Days.
Add KIT days
To create KIT days, follow the steps below.
In the Absence zone, click Absence, then Family Leave.
Select the employee then click into the family leave record.
Click on the KIT Days tab, then click Add Kit Day.
Split Days
Split days are available on a separate tab when a curtailment date is entered on the family leave details page and the mother wishes to use shared parental leave and a shared parental leave record is created.
