Enter company shutdown absences.

Firstly, you should check that company shutdown is listed as an absence type and check that the correct absence type group is selected. Holiday absence group types will be deducted from the holiday entitlement, whereas the Other category type will not be counted towards either sickness, holiday, or parental statistics.

πŸ“Œ Note: A bulk absence entry is one that is applied to at least two employees at a time. One key difference of a bulk absence entry is that it will not check the employees working pattern to enforce that the shutdown starts and ends on a working day.

Enter company shutdown days

The create a company shutdown day, follow these steps.

  1. In the Absence zone, click Absence

  2. Click Enter Absence then select all employees by ticking the box in the top left of the listing.

  3. A warning will appear and ask you to either proceed with the selected employees or select all.

  4. Select the absence type Company Shutdown.

  5. Enter the Start and End Dates.

  6. Select if the absence is Full or Part Days and enter the timings if applicable.

  7. Click Save & Continue. The system will take a few minutes to complete the process as it applies to all employees.

If employees have holiday booked that overlaps with the company shutdown, review and edit these entries to prevent entitlement discrepancies.
