SelectHR Evo Feed Overview

The Feed is a common notification hub across Access products.

SelectHR notifies individuals, through the Feed, when new workflow tasks are assigned to them. E.g. New leave request to approve.

View Feed Notifications

Once you receive an alert from Feed, Access button will appear with a red circle icon to indicate that there is an unread alert. To open it, click Access button then click Feed.

If the notification contains a call to action, click the link to be taken to the relevant screen. For example, if the notification is to let you know about an Annual Leave request, the link will bring you straight to the Authorise screen displaying all the request details with an option to accept or decline the request.

When a SelectHR workflow task is actioned, whether by you or someone else, the associated notification is automatically removed from the feed.

Your historical feed notifications will remain visible for 30 days before being automatically removed.

  • Feed will not appear as an option in the Access Button until the user receives a feed notification.

  • SelectHR workflow-driven alerts (on-screen pop-ups, bottom right-hand corner) and workflow-driven notification emails do not go to the Feed. They will continue to work in the same way.

SelectHR Feed Notifications & the HR Task List

The Feed does not replace your HR Task List. Instead, the Feed complements the HR Task List by alerting you each time a new task is assigned to you and by allowing you to navigate directly to the applicable workflow screen.

There is not necessarily a one-to-one relationship between your HR Tasks and your SelectHR workflow feed notifications. For example:

  • Feed notifications expire 30 days after they were created even if the task has not yet been completed.

  • If you initiate a workflow where the first task is assigned to you, a notification is not sent to your Feed informing you about this task. It is assumed that you already know about the task and an alert is not necessary.

  • If you complete a task, where the next task in the workflow is also owned by you, a notification is not sent to your Feed informing you about the next task. It is assumed that you already know about the task and an alert is not necessary.
