This is not currently possible without several complex configuration changes. As a result of the complexities involved, this change is not suitable to be made through support and will need to be actioned via our consultancy team, which will incur a cost.

We recommend that if you would like to see this functionality implemented as standard in a future release of SelectHR, you place your vote on the feature request that support has raised for this functionality.

If you would like to receive a quote for having this change implemented, please reach out to your account manager or raise a new case online.

Additional information

If you would like to better understand the complexities requiring consultancy time, we have included the basics of what would be required to achieve this outcome below.

  • The Absence - Group Entry (v4.0) workflow would need to be copied and configured to replace the original.

  • The Absence - Single Entry (Employee) workflow would need to be copied and configured to replace the original.

  • Within each copied workflow, the absence type selection processes would also need to be copied and configured to replace the originals in the copied workflows.

  • A new filter would then need to be created on the Absence.Types table, in order to allow you to specify the absence types which should be visible.

  • The newly created filter would need to be applied to each of the copied absence type selection processes.

  • The Absences process on the manager menu set would need to be copied and configured to replace the original, with the reconfigured workflow being assigned to it.

  • The Enter Absence process on the manager menu set would need to be copied and configured to replace the original, with the reconfigured workflow being assigned to it.

  • The original processes would need to be disabled on the manager menu set to prevent their accidental use.

  • Any dashboard buttons linking to the original processes / workflows would need to be rebuilt to point to the new processes / workflows.
