SelectHR Evo Release Notes – October 2026

T
Written by Tracy Dunn

This release brings holiday overbooking checks in line with the leave employees have accrued, introduces Employee Search to Evo Navigator for authorised HR users, extends contact management so eligible users can add, update and delete contacts from Evo Navigator, and includes security remediation and a range of bug fixes.

What’s New

  • Holiday overbooking checks now consider the entitlement employees will have accrued by the date of their absence.

  • Employee Search is available in Evo Navigator for authorised HR users.

  • Contacts can be added, updated and deleted from Evo Navigator.

  • Security remediation across SelectHR Evo.

  • Bug fixes covering calendars, workspace invites, contacts, leave and task lists.

Holiday Overbooking for Accrual Rules

What was the challenge?

The overbooking check compared a requested absence with the balance available today, or with the full annual entitlement. For employees on an accrual-based Holiday Rule, this could block valid leave booked later in the year, while allowing an early request before enough leave had built up.

What’s changed?

  • Accrual-aware overbooking checks: For Holiday Rules where entitlement builds up over the holiday year, a request is now checked against the entitlement the employee will have accrued by the date of the absence.

  • Existing accrual method applied: The check uses the accrual method already set on the Holiday Rule (per day, week or month).

  • Requests beyond entitlement still flagged: Requests that exceed the projected entitlement continue to be identified as overbooking.

Benefits

  • Employees can book leave for later in the year without being blocked for entitlement they will have genuinely accrued by then.

  • Managers and HR administrators see overbooking results that reflect the position on the date requested.

  • Overbooking checks follow the accrual rules already defined on each Holiday Rule.

Employee Search in Evo Navigator

What was the challenge?

Finding commonly needed employee details meant moving between several SelectHR screens.

What’s changed?

  • Quick search from Evo Navigator: Authorised HR users can search for employees from Evo Navigator using a quick panel.

  • Current employee information at a glance: The panel shows current personal and employment information for the employee found.

  • Link to full search: Where more detail is needed, the panel links through to full SelectHR search.

  • Permission-controlled access: Access follows the feature permissions configured for your organisation.

Benefits

  • A faster route to commonly needed employee details.

  • Fewer screens to navigate for everyday lookups.

  • Access follows the permissions you already manage.

Contacts Management in Evo Navigator

What was the challenge?

Updating contact details, such as address, phone number, email or relationship information, meant opening the full SelectHR application or using separate Contacts screens in the native mobile app.

What’s changed?

  • Manage contacts in Evo Navigator: Eligible users can add, update and delete contact records directly from Evo Navigator, without switching to the full SelectHR application.

  • Clear editing: Changing one part of a contact leaves the rest of the record exactly as it was.

  • Consistent contact actions across SelectHR: Create, edit and delete contact actions in the remaining SelectHR feature locations now use the same standard workflows, so validation is consistent wherever contacts are changed.

  • Role-based availability: Access depends on SelectHR role and feature configuration.

Benefits

  • Update contact details from Evo Navigator without contacting HR or opening the full SelectHR application.

  • One consistent way to manage personal, address, phone and email details.

  • Contact records, including emergency contact information, can be kept up to date.
