If an employees holiday taken exceeds their year end entitlement, a negative figure will be carried over to subsequent holiday years.
In SelectHR, there is no option to disable negative carryover.
This negative carryover will continue indefinitely in all future holiday years, until the balance is paid back by the employee by taking an equal amount less from their current holiday entitlement.
